Uniwax.com is the e-commerce website of the Uniwax brand. In addition to sharing the universe of our brand, which has been working for nearly 50 years to promote African elegance and fashion, we offer you access to our online customizable African fabric ordering service, our collections, and company’s news.
How much does it cost to use the African fabric on order service ?
We do not charge for the use of the African fabric on order service. The only fees you will have to pay are the price of the products ordered.
2/ Customer account
Do I need to have an account to use uniwax.com ?
You can browse the uniwax.com website without having to create a customer account. However, to make a purchase, you will need a customer account. We need to know your contacts for the follow-up, the delivery of your order and also to give us the opportunity to thank you for your loyalty.
How do I create an account on uniwax.com ?
To create a customer account on our website, click on the registration icon at the top right of the screen, fill in your information and validate ! You will receive by email, a link to validate your registration.
How can I change my contact details and/or address?
To change your contact details or addresses, sign into your customer space, click on "my information", change your contact details and validate.
What is the password used for ?
The password is used to prevent any unauthorized person from accessing your account and personal information. It’s meant to protect you.
I have forgotten my password. What can I do ?
If you have forgotten your password, go to the customer space and click on the "Forgotten password" link. Enter your email address. Sign into your mailbox and follow the instructions.
How do I change my password ?
To change your password, go to your customer space, click on "my contact details" and change your password. First enter your old password, enter your new password once, and then enter it a second time for validation. To finish, click on "validate".
Will my account be deactivated if I don't sign in for a long time ?
Your account will only be deactivated if you request it from Uniwax.
How can I request for it ?
To desactivate your account, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where can UNIWAX products be purchased ?
Uniwax's collection and classic African fabrics are available in all our points of sales and at authorized resellers.

What is a yard ?
The yard is an English unit of measurement. One yard is equivalent to 0.9144 meter.
What is the width of your African fabrics ?
Our African fabrics are about 120 cm wide.
How to recognize an authentic Uniwax African fabric ?
How to take care of Uniwax African fabrics ?
- Above all, do not be afraid to wash them when they are dirty.
- Use mild soaps such as the Marseille soap and avoid detergents as much as possible.
- Wash them preferably from the wrong side.
- Do not use soap powder to wash your African fabrics.
- Do not expose them directly to the sun.
Where can old collections be obtained ?
The collections are made up of designs with a common theme, printed only as part of the collection. A collection has a lifespan of 3 months. The designs are not generally reproduced.
Where can old magazines be obtained ?
Uniwax magazines are available in all Woodin stores, at Uniwax resellers and news agents.
4/ Customized African Fabrics
How to get a customized African fabric?
Your African fabric can be customized in 4 steps.
1/ Select your pattern from the different themes and styles.
2/ Customize your African fabric by changing its color(s), by inserting 1 to 5 medallions of a design chosen from those offered, by integrating one or more pictures of your choice and possibly adding a text in the box provided for this purpose.
3/ Validate your design by adding it to cart.
4/ Validate your order by following the different steps : identification, choice of collection point for delivery, payment.
You can customize your African fabric from 2 yards, which is only one piece of African fabric. It will await you at the Woodin store of your choice, within the time indicated before validating your order.
I would like to customize an African fabric that is not on the site, how do I proceed ?
You can only customize the African fabrics from the patterns offered on the site. If you want to customize or create other designs, refer to our "Uniforms" service. You will then be able to create the design of your choice, from 3,000 yards by contacting the sales department, Uniforms service at 27 23 5353 54.
What is the minimum order volume ?
With the "African fabric on order" service, you can customize your African fabric from 2 yards, that is, one piece of African fabric.
What is the maximum volume of orders ?
You can order up to 2994 yards. Over this volume, we recommend our "Uniforms" service, a service for creating customized African fabrics in large quantities by contacting the special Uniforms sales department at 23 53 53 54.
What material are customized fabrics made of ?
The customized African fabrics are printed on 100% cotton fabric.
Why is my creation subject to ethical and aesthetic control ?
We trust you, but we simply want to make sure that your creation corresponds to the ethics of our company and to good morals.
I live abroad and I would like to have a customized African fabric, how can I do ?
For the moment, we only deliver to the following Woodin stores (Cap Sud, Cap Nord, Cash Djibi, Rue du Commerce, Cosmos and Rue des Jardins, Playce Marcory, Playce Palmeraie). You can therefore be delivered in a store that you would have chosen and get it collected by a close friend who will send it to you. We will soon be able to deliver at home and in countries other than Côte d'Ivoire.
Does my creation belong to me ?
Our designs remain a Uniwax work in their own right. Once your design has been customized with a picture and text, such design belongs to you.
How to place an order at uniwax.com ?
To place an order, add your item to cart, choose the quantity, validate your cart, fill in the delivery information and then choose your online payment method. The order will be delivered to you within a minimum of 5 working days directly in the Woodin store that you will have chosen on the site as your delivery address.
How to change items in my cart ?
To change items in your cart, click on the pencil symbol that appears at the bottom right of the relevant item.
I can't add a product to my cart. What shall I do ?
First of all, make sure you have entered a quantity. If the blockage persists, refresh the page and try again. If it still doesn't work, please contact customer service at +225 27 23 53 53 95.
My received order is incorrect. What shall I do ?
We are deeply sorry for this bad experience. If the order you received is incorrect, please contact the customer service that will handle your claim.
I still haven't received my order confirmation ; however, it has been successfully processed.
A confirmation SMS or email is sent after each order is validated. Check your messages or spams carefully. If after checking you still can't find the validation message, contact the customer service at +225 27 23 53 53 95.
I still haven't received any feedback from the feasibility check, why ?
The validation of your creation is done within 3 working days. If after 3 working days you still have no feedback from the feasibility check, do not hesitate to contact the customer service at +225 27 23 53 53 95.
I have received my African fabric, but isn't it wax ?
As specified on the website in the general terms and conditions of sale, "African fabric on order", is a 100% cotton fabric, non-wax of high quality and 120cm wide, made with a digital direct-printing process, in a minimum quantity of 2 yards (equivalent to a piece of African fabric or 183cm long). However, the African fabric remains of very good quality.
An item is missing from my order. How is it possible ?
We are very sorry for this bad experience at our uniwax.com site.
If an item is missing from your order, first check to see if you have been charged for that.
Customized African fabrics are submitted to a feasibility check. If your African fabric is not approved, we will notify you by SMS or email, depending on the contact method that you have chosen.
You may have missed this information, so feel free to check your messages if you have not been charged for the item.

How do I track my order ?
Uniwax informs you by SMS or email at each step of your order.
How do I access my order history ?
To access your order history, please sign into your customer space at the top right of your screen, click on "my orders", then "order history".
Can I cancel/change my order ?
Once your order has been validated and paid for, you can no longer change it as specified in the general terms and conditions of sale.
I have received a defective item. What shall I do ?

I receive an error message when placing an order. What shall I do ?
If you receive an error message when placing your order, you may have missed one of the steps to validate the cart.
First, check that your customer account is validated. Then, check that you have entered a quantity in numerical digits, then check your delivery address and the payment method chosen. How should I proceed to receive my order in gift wrapping ?
Customized African fabrics are not wrapped in gift packs. This allows you to check them when received.
Are there any fees to be paid to collect my order ?
All fees are to be paid online. You do not have to pay anything to collect your order. If someone asks you in any way to pay a fee for collecting your order, please let us know by calling the customer service at the following number or by sending an email to the following address : email@example.com.
Am I obliged to pay online ?
The African fabric on order is a digital service. Orders are paid directly online at the time of placing the order by VISA, Maestro, MasterCard credit card, YUP or Mobile Money services (Orange Money and MTN Money).
Can I combine several payment methods for an order ?
You can only choose one payment method per order.
What are your payment terms ?
You can pay for your orders online by VISA, Maestro, MasterCard credit card, or by mobile money (Orange Money and MTN Money).
I cannot proceed to payment via Mobile Money ?
Payments via Mobile Money depend on the ceiling set by your operator. Make sure your ceiling allows the transaction. If necessary, contact customer service for assistance.
Orange Money offers 3 profiles :
- Light Profil : Up to CFA 200 000 per transaction,
- Young Profil : Up to CFA 500 000 per transaction,
- Classic Profil : Up to CFA 5 000 000 per day and CFAF 10 000 000 per month.
If you want to know your profil, dial #144*67#.
The daily ceiling of payment by MTN Mobile Money is CFAF 2 500 000. Transactions are capped at CFA 200 000, if the cap has been activated at * 133 #.
You can apply to your operator to change these limits by going to an agency.
What is the average delivery time ?
We make every effort to deliver as quickly as possible. The delivery time is indicated to you at the time of your order. This period incorporate orders in production.
How long will my package be kept in the store before I can collect it ?
Your package will be kept in the shop for 5 working days from the notification by SMS or email of the availability of your order. After this period, it will be sent back to the Uniwax factory in Yopougon. It will be kept there for a duration of 30 days, after which it will be destroyed.
Do you deliver everywhere in Côte d’Ivoire ?
For the moment we deliver in Abidjan more specifically in the following Woodin stores : Cap Sud - Cash Djibi - Cap Nord - Rue du Commerce - Rue des Jardins and Cosmos Yopougon. Delivering anywhere in Côte d'Ivoire is a solution currently under study.
What are your delivery rates ?
Delivery in store is free of charge.
Can I change my delivery address after placing my order ?
Once your order has been placed, you can no longer modify it. You can modify you delivery address and elements of your order until you pay. After the payment, your order can not be modify.
