Like every year, the COMICI organizes the beauty contest Miss CI. The start of the 21st edition was a few days away and for this purpose the traditional opening ceremony was held at the Novotel hotel on Thursday 26 January 2017, announcing a new edition rich in rigor and requirements.

This gathering of illustrious guests, media and sponsors also took advantage of the presence of a humorist, “Le Magnifique”, a fashion designer named Eloi Sessou and the usual master of ceremony, Yves De Mbella.

The kickoff was set for 11 February 2017 through the topic “Youth employment and young girl empowerment, factors of sustainable economic growth”.

Usually selected from three countries namely France, Italy and the United States, the COMICI has extended its international pre-selection zone to two additional countries, Canada and England. Two candidates from each of these countries will be selected at the end of the international pre-selection.

We noticed a major change in the height of candidates, in terms of requirement, decreasing from 1.68 to 1.67-meter-tall, offering more chances to potential representatives from Côte d’Ivoire.

It was a wonderful launch that ended with a cocktail on one of the hotel’s open terraces following a fashion show provided by Eloi Sessou.
